This friendly workshop will explore Kombucha ( fermented green tea) and Kefir, both water Kefir and Milk Kefir.
Many people manage to make Kombucha themselves; it certainly is cheaper than buying shop-bought versions. Having a continuous system going means you literally have it on tap.
Making Kefir is a popular part of many people’s daily routine. There are plenty of ways to keep the grains happy when not required. There are many commercial varieties now readily available and kefir is often combined with yoghurt.
Water Kefir is also easy to adopt as part of a daily or every other day routine. It is easy to make a refreshing, low-sugar drink, with plenty of scope to personalise to your taste.
If you’d like to find out more, what the differences are between these ferments and which ones you think you might like to make or consume regularly, then do sign up for this friendly workshop.
What the workshop Includes
I will talk through the processes involved in making these products. I’ll take a look at the health benefits and share current research on these fermented products.
I will demonstrate how to make them, and I’ll have handouts showing simple recipes with the aim of giving you the confidence to try them at home. We may have some Kefir grains you can take home! There will be a chance to taste a variety of shop-bought and homemade Kombuchas and Kefirs.
For those of you who have been experimenting at home, if you would like to bring some of your creations, there will be a chance to show and tell!
A great chance to meet up again or for the first time.
Please bring your experience and or your questions, and let’s start fermenting.
If you’d like to reserve your place, email me and I’ll send you payment details. (£20 per person)
